Week 3 Part 1

Hello everyone,

This week, on Monday we started with a baking contest. Each monday, a group of students has to bake a cake (one cake for each student) for the whole group to eat.
I think they all had fun baking a cake with their host families but everybody also had a lot fun eating them ( the best part of the contest).
On Tuesday night we had a "disco night party" which took place in le College Saint Louis and the students could dance and sing to french pop/dance music but also to French songs from the 80's and 90's.
Despite a mosquito invasion (they saw we were having so much fun) at the end of the party, the students had tons of fun !

Week 2 Part 2

Hello Everyone,

Week 2 is already coming to an end and we are about to start week 3. We ended this week by our first excursion, on Friday, to the Loire Châteaux : Clos Lucé, Chenonceau and Chambord.
Needless to say that the students were all very excited to see the châteaux !
We left at 7:45am and got to the first castle, Clos Lucé, at around 9:15am. We could only hear the sound of the radio as almost everyone fell back asleep once on the coach. After we visited the first castle we headed to Chenonceau where we picnicked and celebrated Lyndy's birthday !
After Chenonceau, we left for our last visit of the day, le Château de Chambord.
Each student had their own favorite visit, but everybody seemed to enjoy the three castles and had tons of fun. During our two-hour drive back to Saumur, nobody would sleep and everybody would chitchat with everybody and laugh. I guess it was a good day !
This weekend in Saumur there is an event called Anjou Velo Vintage with the streets of Saumur packed with lots of animation, music and people wearing vintage outfits.

And now the pictures :
